Hey Everyone! This is my first post to the blog! As most of you probably know, I'm heading off to Cape Town on June 25th! Being halfway around the world, I wanted an easy way to communicate with all my friends and family and keep you posted on what I'm doing. Im also available through email. The internet/computer access in Cape Town is not always guaranteed, so expect a few days for me to get back to you. This program is known for its physical and mental toughness, so I need all of the support I can get. I'm not going to South Africa for a vacation, I'm going to be there to learn and open my mind to new things. I one day plan on working for a Human Rights NGO, and I hope that my experience in South Africa can give me a strong foundation to build upon. Thank you all for checking it out!
Also, Im sending out packets to friends and family information about the program and how to donate. There should be four parts to each packet. Including an introduction letter, a flyer about the program, a sheet on information about donating, and a copy of my personal statement. Also, I have included pre-stamped and addressed envelopes incase you wanted to make a contribution. If you haven't received yours yet, or want another copy, just send me your address or email and Ill send one to you as soon as possible! :)

Hello Kaitlin! I am sorry that the first comment to your first post doesn't come from your friends or relatives, but since I read the post an have a suggestion for you, I shall write! I am in Italy and have a couple of blogs, one about china in english and the other in italian about how my close friends and I are going about in finding out what kinds of jobs we can forge with our fresh law degrees and interest in foreign countries. Now, to the point (sorry), I got here on this page cause I just finished editing one blog and clicked on "next blog" so here I am. Reason for the comment is HR: I have done a full year as intern at the Center for Constitutional Studies and Democratic Development (joint between the faculty of law in bologna and the Johns Hopkins Univ.). If you're interested for future summer schools: www.ccsdd.org (they are really great guys there) and it might help for curricula, too! If you want, there is also: Human Rights Nights Festival website somewhere on the web. ok, sorry this took so long. Take care, I'll subscribe and you have lots of fun! ciao
